About the Game of Poker

Another game of skill is here! Tactics, application of game theory and mathematical principles, all of this comes into play while playing the fun and prestigious game of Poker. This strategy-based game is played with a single 52-card deck, where each card has a suit and a value. Its objective is to form the best possible 5-card hand among all players at the table, using the cards you are dealt, as well as the community cards revealed as the game progresses.

Different Variants of Poker

  • No Limit Texas Hold’em (NLHE):Texas hold'em is one of the most popular variants of the card game of Poker. Two cards, known as hole cards, are dealt face down to each player, and then five community cards are dealt face up in three stages. The best hand wins the pot.
  • Pot Limit Omaha (PLO):Omaha hold'em is a community card poker game similar to Texas hold 'em, where each player is dealt four/five cards and must make his or her best hand using exactly two of them, plus exactly three of the five community cards.
  • Pineapple Poker:This variant of Poker is played between either 2 or 3 players, and without chips. It can be played in a Sit ‘n’ Go or Cash format. A point system is followed to determine the score, with each point holding a certain value.

Best Hand Combinations in Online Poker

In this game, probability decides the best hands you can form. The less likely you are to form the hands, the higher the hands are rated. From the highest to the lowest, they are:

1. Royal Flush

Royal Flush is the best possible hand combination consisting of Ace, King, Queen, Jack and 10 of the same suit. Nothing can beat this five-card hand combination in the game of Poker.

Key Actions in Online Poker

  • Fold: Players may forego the action thinking that the cards they are dealt are not good enough. Should they do so, they forfeit their cards by “Folding.” This also puts them out of competition for that very hand.
  • Call: A Call means that a player places an amount equal to the last placed wager on the table.
  • Check:When a player Checks, he is consciously declining the option to open the pot from his side and is rather transferring the action to the person sitting to his left. One can Check only when there is no wager in progress at that very instance.
  • Raise: A raise happens when a player increases the amount of the last placed wager on the table. A player may do it when he has a better card combination or when he is bluffing. Bluff is a bet or raise made with a hand which is not thought to be the best hand. The objective of a bluff is to induce a fold by at least one opponent who holds a better hand.

About the Game Of Rummy

You can play Various Rummy Tournaments On BalleBaazi

Rummy is an interesting skill-based card game that lies on several core concepts of Mathematics, Psychology and Risk and Asset Management. Coupled with several soft skills like self-confidence and an unwavering concentration, it makes up for an intelligent option for skill-enhancement over a period of time.

Basic Rules Of Rummy

Learning classic rummy rules is as easy as 1-2-3! We are presenting this section to help you learn the rules of rummy in capsule-sized information chunks.

Rummy is a popular card game based on the process of ‘Choose and Drop.’ It follows a two-step process:

  • Choosing a card from an Open or a Closed deck of cards.
  • Dropping a less useful card to the Open Deck

Dealing in Indian Rummy

  • Which player should play first? To decide on this, there is a dealer who makes a toss and provides his answer for the order in which the game shall proceed.
  • After this, a Wild Joker is selected randomly from a Closed Deck by the Dealer himself.
  • Then a set of 13 cards are dealt to each player.
  • The first card from the deck is put face-up on the Open Deck. All other cards are put face-down to form the Closed Deck.

Declaration

A player should make appropriate and valid Sequences and Sets, as per predefined rules, by using 13 cards dealt to him.

  • A Sequence refers to a collection of three or more numerically-arranged and similarly-suited cards.
  • A Set refers to a group of three or four similarly-ranked cards in different suits.
  • A Joker is a predefined card that can be called upon to replace any card to form sequences and sets. It is of two types- Wild Joker and Printed Joker.
Rummy extends a helping hand to you by offering the Joker card. You can use it to make a valid (but improper) Set or a Sequence in a game. Choosing a Wild Joker at the beginning of a rummy game is a prerequisite and it can be used to swap any other playing card.

The end goal of the game is to make at least two Sequences, one of which should be made without using the Joker and is called the Pure Sequence. This Sequence needs to be supported by other used cards that should be arranged in a proper and valid order too.

Poker Cash Game Quiz

BB Arcade offers only the standard 13-Card Rummy Game on its platform. In it, two players are dealt playing cards from one deck only. Any more players require an increase in standard decks of cards.

Poker

Cards remaining after dealing 13 cards to each player are put face down on the table. This is called the closed deck because the players can't see the value of the cards. With the closed deck, you have the open deck where the cards are put face up.

The winner is the player who has secured the valid and correct Sequences and Sets in the least possible time. In other words, the player making the most appropriate Sequences and Sets fastest is the winner.

BB Quiz: Rewarding your Knowledge of the Game

The Quiz format on the BalleBaazi application will be similar to most quizzes you might have played on some other generic mobile applications.

Dynamic Leagues

Denoted by Tag D on the Quiz League, it states that the maximum number of players who can enter the league is 5 (user count may vary from 2 – 5 players) and the maximum prize pool is written, which will be divided among the players i.e., if there are 2 players, then 1 player will be the winner and if the number of players is 5, then there will be 3 winners in the game.

All the information related to the Dynamic league will be available on the second screen i.e., Winning distribution screen and when the user reaches the Quiz interface, then within 30 sec depending on the number of players who have joined the Quiz League, the winning distribution will be visible and if no one has joined, then the user will have to try again and money will be refunded to the user.

Static Leagues

The static league will act as normal leagues with the defined prize pool. If the card says 6 players, 4 Questions, and 3 winners, then all the distribution will be available in the same manner. If you’ve followed my articles thus far or have read my book, Billion Dollar Hollywood Heist, then you know about my history as a card mechanic and poker hustler. Throughout my career playing high-stakes poker in Hollywood, I’ve seen just about every scam that could ever be perpetrated with a deck of playing cards.

Today, I consult with casinos and individuals who run high-stakes poker games in order to help them protect their players from all sorts of cheating tactics. And while it doesn’t pay nearly as well as running over a game like in the old days, I suppose it’s a respectable side hustle that keeps me close to my love of card manipulation.

Then again, maybe helping detect cheaters is my penance for so many years developing and deploying what I like to call “skills of a misspent youth.”

To truly understand the way cheaters approach rounding games and scamming private games, it’s good to understand some of the basic methods used by traditional card cheats. Even given the vast amount of poker information available today on the internet, it’s surprising how little (truly accurate) information is out there about card cheating.

There are a lot of magicians who teach card manipulation, but few of them have ever used the skills they teach under fire in a live game, and those who truly know what they are talking about are few and far between. The most knowledgeable person on the subject that I know is my dear friend Steve Forte, author of Casino Protection, Poker Protection, and the newly released, Gambling Sleight of Hand – Forte Years of Research, which is a two-volume masterpiece sold for 300 bucks!

When the hold’em craze hit in the early 2000s an interesting thing happened. Poker players began to multiply like never before. Suddenly there were people playing high-stakes hold’em without even knowing how to execute a standard table riffle shuffle, or deal a hand of seven card stud. To me, these players were like children who understood how to ride in a car strapped in the child safety seat, but had no idea how to drive. If you get behind the wheel, you want to know how to control the car right? The same should be the case with poker.

One big aspect that poker players count on is a straight deal. Another thing they count on is the honor and integrity of the man sitting next to them. I always look for and expect the best out of people, but in the immortal words of S.W. Erdnase, author of the 1902 classic, Expert At The Card Table, “Men who play for any considerable amount of money are looking to get the best of it.” And for many of today’s modern era poker players, it’s safe to say, they can go for a ride in the car, but there are few who know how to drive it.

Now, don’t get me wrong… it’s not necessary to learn how to cheat in order to spot a cheater. But in this writer’s humble opinion, knowing the methods of a cheat are just as important as knowing how many outs you have on the river, or whether or not you are being laid the right price to call after a three-bet.

Cash

In order to determine whether or not you are well-versed in the ways one can get cheated at the poker table, I have provided you with an introductory card cheater’s assessment. Take the quiz seriously and answer the questions honestly. Otherwise, you’ll just be cheating yourself! HAHA

The answers will be revealed in a video at the end of quiz. The video will also provide tips and examples of ways you can protect your home game, and protect yourself when playing live poker.
